Do it for Dan

SUNDAY, MAY 3, 2026 AT 3 PM – 7 PM

Join Go Liv Co – Horal Family Foundation on May 3, 2026 for the 8th annual Do it For Dan Ride! After Dan’s passing on April 26, 2019, Hometown Bicycles, Brighton, MI organized the “Do It for Dan” (DIFD) Memorial Ride held May 5, 2019. The event brought together over 500 people to complete the ride Dan was never able to finish. After the inaugural event it was decided to establish DIFD as an annual ride to remember Dan, promote safe cycling, and create awareness to safely “share the road”. Dan may be gone, but he will never be forgotten. It is the Foundation’s intention to turn this tragedy into a positive and prevent another cyclist/motorist/family/friend from the same horrific experience.

An additional purpose of the DIFD ride is to raise funds to continue our effort in Liv Co. We can not make the changes needed without the support of the community. Donating and volunteering is the best way to move the needle forward.

NOTES ABOUT DAY

We will be starting the ride from Green Oak Mall along the Mike Levine Connector trail adjacent to JC Penny. We ask that unless people are dropping off a tent or setting up for the Dodge brothers pavilion that you park at Green Oak Mall and ride, walk, or roll into the park for the party pavilion at the Dodge Brothers pavilion.

We will have many community partners on hand for the event as well as a food truck from our friends at Rollin Stone Pizza. So you can start your ride at Green Oak Mall roll into the park and stop in for a bite to eat (make sure to bring a form of payment) and a chat with many organizations that are helping to shape change here in Liv Co.
